Hi guys,

I’d like to find out starting from which release Ray requires pyarrow >= 4.0.1 as an extra dependency (link). I wasn’t able to find any note in release notes.

Looks like it is added from 1.8. This is a dependency for ray[data] which uses arrow under the hood. (I think ray[data] became alpha or beta around 1.8).
