# Distributed Debugger - Update changelog / make source available - minimize risk of malware

The distributed debugger was just recently updated to version v0.1.7.

The last changelog entry is:

## [0.1.5] - 2022-07-13

With the risk of [malware taking over extensions](https://www.koi.ai/blog/glassworm-first-self-propagating-worm-using-invisible-code-hits-openvsx-marketplace#heading-9) it would be great to  
a) get access to the source code (currently in the non-public anyscale/ repo (?) )  
b) Update the changelog so we know what has changed and that is is official.

It seems likely that the Ray Distributed Debugger VS Code extension is not open source, as confirmed in user discussions and GitHub issues; users have requested access to the source code, but maintainers have stated it is not open sourced and is maintained in a private repository. Additionally, there is no official, up-to-date public changelog for recent versions such as v0.1.7, and users have expressed concern about this lack of transparency and the associated security risks of closed-source extensions.
